I am passionate about the value of experiencing more calm in our everyday lives. The benefits to our physical, mental and emotional well-being are well-researched and becoming more fully recognised in all walks of life.
I set up Mindful Meets after recovering from an intense period of stress, when a series of traumatic life changes brought almost overwhelming uncertainty and instability into my world. It was during this time that I turned to the approaches and strategies that I had discovered, learnt and practised over several years of attending retreats, mindfulness courses, meditation and tai chi classes.
Running well-received 'Street Wisdom' sessions and successfully completing a Mindfulness Diploma sparked a desire to use my personal experiences, my skills as a trainer and my commitment to mindful approaches as a wonderful opportunity to share with others what has worked for me.
Having discovered it for myself time and time again, I feel strongly that our immediate environment can be a powerful pathway towards greater peace. This is why Mindful Meets events take place mostly out and about in Whitby, showing how stillness can be nurtured whether in park, beach or street surroundings.
I look forward to meeting you at a future event, where you will experience for yourself the informal, enjoyable and accessible ways that we can all use to bring greater calm, clarity and connection into our lives.
